Biography

Stan Higgins is a public relations consultant, educator and former journalist with more than 40 years of experience across multiple economic sectors, with a strong focus on travel and tourism. A past President and Fellow of the Zimbabwe Institute of Public Relations, his expertise spans communications, media, writing, event management, public relations and stakeholder engagement.

• Past Chairman, The Repertory Players, operators of Harare’s Reps Theatre
• Former reporter and editor within the Zimbabwe Newspapers group
• Qualifications in Public Relations Management and Education from the Communications, Advertising and Marketing Foundation and the Educators’ Institute
• Award-winning experience in writing, financial PR, internal communication, master of ceremony work, personal imaging and event management
• Organised the 1993 charity-led visit to Zimbabwe by Diana, Princess of Wales
• Former radio and television programme presenter
• Restaurant and travel columnist for newspapers and magazines
